Find your way to deal with sportcrastination!

Children who get an early start in sports not only develop better. They are also more likely to develop healthy habits that will help them stay in shape later in life. Parents, who set an example for children to follow, play an important role in this process. However, sportcrastination – that is, the tendency to postpone activity endlessly – can be a problem. Because of it, as many as 24% of Poles do not exercise at all, and ¾ of people who take up activity are unable to stay motivated for more than a year.*

How to start the fight against sportcrastination and become an example of healthy attitudes for your loved ones?

ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO MOVE!

Start with small steps

  • Instead of driving, choose to walk. This is a great opportunity to talk and start the day actively.
  • Turn on your favourite music and dance together at home – it’s an excellent way to move and have fun at the same time!
  • Involve children in household chores that require movement, such as vacuuming, sweeping, raking leaves in the garden or planting plants.
  • When you have a choice between lift or stairs, always choose the stairs – even in shopping malls.
  • If you have a dog, walking and playing together is a great way to move.
  • Weekends are an excellent time for walks in the woods, collecting leaves, mushrooms or searching for treasures – a combination of adventure and movement.
